The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, The Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History at Boston College, and the Macau Ricci Institute at USJ are jointly organising a seminar titled “The Chinese Rites Controversy and Macau: The Acta Pekinensia. of Kilian Stumpf . S.J. (1655-1720)” on December 9, 2024.

Pof. Ronnie Po-chia Hsia (夏伯嘉, Ph.D., Penn State University, U.S.A.) and Prof. Dong Shaoxin (董少新, Ph.D., Fudan University, China) will give two talks on the theme. The event will also include a book launch of the English translation of Kilian Stumpf’s Acta Pekinensia.
