GUIN is a dynamic, collaborative platform designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among universities around the world.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is proud to announce its official membership in the Global University Innovation Network (GUIN), an international initiative founded in July 2025 by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and 15 leading local universities.
GUIN is a dynamic, collaborative platform designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among universities around the world. Becoming a member allows the USJ Macau Spin Incubator Center to join the network and extend its support to current and future start-ups and partners.
Prof. Alexandre Lobo, Vice-Rector for Academic Research and Innovation at USJ, commented: “This initiative aims to raise the level of maturity of innovation and applied research at USJ by connecting with a strong network of universities and peers.”
The membership offers USJ and its Macau Spin Incubator significant opportunities including Global Exchange & Networking, Cross-Members Collaborations, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Startups & Talents Exchange.
As a member of GUIN, USJ aims to strengthen its role as a bridge between the Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-speaking countries — a core mission of the Macau Spin Incubator. Being part of GUIN allows USJ to integrate its strong network and expertise into a broader global framework, thereby enhancing the support provided to its entrepreneurial community.
