During the visit at UEH, Professor Barbosa gave a lecture for UEH’s ArtTech programme and officiated the opening ceremony of the annual ArtTech Fusion conference.
Professor Barbosa, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Affairs at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), recently visited the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in Vietnam from 21 to 24 April 2026.
During the visit, Professor Barbosa was invited as a guest lecturer for UEH’s ArtTech programme, where he conducted a specialised workshop on sound production in modern and contemporary art. The session provided students and faculty with valuable insights into the evolving role of sound in artistic practices.
In celebration of UEH’s 50th anniversary, the university hosted a special session to mark the ongoing partnership between UEH and USJ. Professor Barbosa also was invited as one of the officiating guests at the opening ceremony of the annual ArtTech Fusion conference, an international academic event co-organised by both institutions.
UEH remains one of the University of Saint Joseph’s closest and most active partners in Vietnam. The long-standing collaboration includes joint research projects, staff and student exchange, as well as the regular organisation of high-level international academic events.
This recent visit further reinforces the strategic alliance between the two universities and opens new prospects for future cooperation in the fields of art, technology, and interdisciplinary education.
