USJ and the Macau Youth Greater Bay Area Development Association signed a MOU in order to strengthen the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-speaking youth entrepreneurial and academic cooperation and exchanges.



The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and the Macau Youth Greater Bay Area Development Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Monday, August 30th 2021, in order to strengthen the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Portuguese-speaking youth entrepreneurial and academic cooperation and exchanges.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Stephen Morgan, Rector of USJ, and Mr. Lai Ming San, President of the Association, with the presence of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Keith Morrison; Vice-Rector for External Affairs and Institutional Development of USJ, Professor Shuguang Zhang; Senior Lecturer Emil Marques, USJ Faculty of Business and Law; Ms Isadora Leong, Head of the USJ Communication and Public Relations Office Executive; Vice President, Dr. Wong Seng Fat; Vice President, Mr. Frankie Wong; Vice Secretary, Ms. Lei Wai Man; and Supervisor, Mr. Lai Hoi Wong.

Mr. Li Ming San believes that the strong relationship between USJ and the Portuguese-speaking countries plays a beneficial role as a networking platform to provide the Greater Bay Area with youth training and entrepreneurial networking activities.

Planned joint initiatives include, but are not limited to, internships arrangements and talent training; training activities in culture, art, and design for the teachers and students; development of academic forums and conferences.

USJ looks forward to a fruitful partnership and the further strengthening of the relationship between our institutions.
