Vice-Rector for Student Life Dr Teresa Loong visits Petra Christian University in Surabaya, Indonesia

The visit aimed to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation across multiple fields, with a particular focus on initiatives to enrich student life at USJ.



As part of the commitments made during the Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) 2025, hosted by the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), the Vice-Rector for Student Life of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Dr Teresa Loong, was invited to an institutional visit to Petra Christian University (PCU) in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Dr Loong was accompanied by Mrs Paula Mota, Head of the International Affairs Office. The USJ delegation was warmly received by Prof. Rolly Intan, Rector of PCU, together with Dr Leenawaty Limantara, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and their colleagues.

The visit aimed to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation across multiple fields, with a particular focus on initiatives to enrich student life at USJ. Discussions highlighted opportunities for community outreach, service-learning, and the sharing of best practices between the two universities to foster deeper collaboration.

This engagement reflects USJ’s ongoing commitment to building meaningful international partnerships, promoting intercultural dialogue within higher education, and enhancing community outreach and service-learning.
