USJ Held Mental Health First Aid Standard Course in January 2020

On 4 and 11 January 2020, Office of Student and Alumni Affairs invited the Mental Health First Aid Course Instructor, Coordinator for the Bachelor of Psychology programme in USJ – Dr. Angus Kuok to host a two day Mental First Aid Standard Course for our students. Many students from USJ participated, Dr. Kuok shared his knowledge on Mental First Aid, namely types, causes, symptoms of mental health problems, as well as consulting skills with the participants. The participants had a deeper understanding of the Mental Health problems and acquired wider knowledge and skills in identifying and handling the emotional and behavioural problems of the people around them.
