The “2025/2026 Academic Year Educational and Study Exchange Programme” for Guangdong Technology College aimed to enhance cooperation and cultural exchange between both institutions.
To enhance cooperation and cultural exchange between institutions in Guangdong and Macao, University of Saint Joseph (USJ) hosted the “2025/2026 Academic Year Educational and Study Exchange Programme” for Guangdong Technology College from 21 to 23 November 2025. A total of 19 students and 2 accompanying teachers from Guangdong Technology College participated in this programme.

The study exchange programme was coordinated by the Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office (ETLLO). Prof. Emil Marques, head of the ETLLO, Prof. Duncan Miers, Director of the English Language Centre and Mr. Dickson Kyee, Officer from Domestic Student Recruitment Office attended the opening ceremony. In his welcoming remarks, Prof. Emil noted that this study tour represented a valuable collaborative experience between the two institutions, expressing that students would gain a deeper understanding of the distinctive educational features of both Macao and USJ through three days of learning and immersion. Ms. Feng Jiayun from Guangdong Technology College expressed gratitude for USJ’s meticulous arrangements, encouraging students to “seize this opportunity to engage in thoughtful reflection, gain insights, achieve meaningful learning outcomes, and attain academic success” through this opportunity.
The three-day programme combined comprehensive lectures instruction with off-campus visits. Lectures featured instruction in English by Professor Duncan Miers and Lecturer Jack Hsiao from the English Language Centre. Through engaging interactive teaching and group sharing practice, participants were able to experience USJ’s international English language teaching environment and distinguished faculty. The delegation toured the Macao Museum of Art, gaining more knowledge of Macao’s rich cross-cultural heritage, and also visited the Macao Live Streaming Association – Macao Live Streaming Service Centre, gaining a better understanding of the current status and future prospects of the emerging live streaming industries in Macao.
USJ is committed to establishing a diverse platform for educational exchange and will continue to promote more study exchange tours and training programmes while actively encouraging interaction and collaboration with institutions globally.
