Orientation for International Exchange Students in 2nd Semester of 2017/2018 on 25th January 2018
The Orientation and Welcome Activities for International Exchange Students of USJ in the Second Semester of Academic Year 2017/2018 was held on 25th January 2018. It was co-organised by Academic Records Office (ARO), Central Services Office (CSO), Information Technology Office (ITO), Office of Student Affairs (OSA), and Office for International Relations and Regional Cooperation (OIR). USJ Buddies were also volunteered at this event to integrate with the new exchange students. Students are exchanging to USJ from various countries including Portugal and Brazil.
The exchange students were firstly greeted with an orientation, which provided them essential information of studying and living in USJ and Macao, as well as a basic Cantonese class. Followed by a tour to the heart of Macao, where they were able to walk into the market and experience the authentic culture. They were then served for lunch in a Chinese Restaurant, which offered them an opportunity to try the traditional dim sum and the “Yum Cha” culture. Students also experienced to take a bus back to USJ Green Campus.
