Prof. Ivan Arraut from the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), who teaches subjects in Mathematics for FBL and Physics for the USJ Institute of Science and Environment (ISE), delivered a two-hour presentation at Fudan University, within the Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS) earlier this month.

 

In his talk, Prof. Arraut discussed the implementation of the Quantum Yang-Baxter equation to demonstrate the Nambu-Goldstone theorem, a topic he previously addressed in 2019 in the journal Symmetry (2019, 11(6), 803). He also shared his latest findings aimed at tackling the neutrino mass problem and the black hole information paradox. These results are published in Symmetry (2024, 16(5), 519) and can be accessed on arXiv (arXiv:2406.02641[physics.gen-ph]).

 

The event brought together renowned professors from top institutions such as Princeton, Caltech, Stony Brook, Santa Barbara, among others. engaging in discussions and the possibility of new research collaborations. SIMIS is well-regarded for assembling some of the world’s most prominent scientists. This presentation a meaningful contribution to ongoing discussions in the field of interdisciplinary sciences.
