Our BEd Year-3 students delivered an engaging and educational workshop for Primary 4 classes in CDSJ5.
On the 21st March, members of the School of Education (SED) including Dean Prof. Isabel Tchiang and Prof. Susannah Sun organised an immersive learning experience for our Bachelor of Education (BEd) students with the collaborative support of the St. Joseph Diocesan College, The Fifth School (CDSJ5).
More than 80 participants were involved in this workshop. Our BEd Year-3 students delivered an engaging and educational workshop for Primary 4 classes, combining interactive presentations with hands-on craft activities to promote environmental awareness. The workshop not only provided practical teaching experience for our students but also offered CDSJ5 students meaningful learning exposure aligned with their General Studies curriculum. Additionally, our BEd Year-2 students also participated as observers, providing constructive peer feedback to enhance the workshop’s effectiveness.
This workshop, which involved support from CDSJ5 leadership, teachers, and students, marks an important step in SED’s partnership with local schools while contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The workshop’s focus on environmental stewardship also directly supports SDG 13 (Climate Action). The success of this workshop encourages us to pursue similar cooperative projects in the future, further enriching our educational programs and community engagement through sustainable practices.
