Institute of Data Engineering and Science at USJ Hosts Visit from City University of Hong Kong

IDEAS/USJ receives visit from the Department of Physics from CityUHK for collaborations in Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Technologies.
Emily Chan On I, has successfully defended her doctoral thesis in Education titled: “CULTIVATING INFORMATION LITERACY EDUCATION AT A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY: ACADEMIC LIBRARIANS WORKING FOR STUDENT SUCCESS AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT”.
USJ held the Welcome Ceremony for New Mainland Students 2025/2026 on 16 September 2025, in the Don Bosco Auditorium, aimed to help new mainland students better understand and integrate into campus life.
To assist new students in adapting to the campus environment, the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs of USJ organised a variety of orientation activities during the opening weeks, aimed at promoting interaction, foster friendships, and provide essential information and support among students.
USJ Macao had the honor of hosting Fr. Mark Lewis, Rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, for a visit on 3 September, 2025.
US Macao has established a formal academic partnership with the Bratislava University of Economics and Management (BUEM) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and an Erasmus+ agreement.
The University of Saint Joseph’s Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE) co-hosted two parent seminars with Escola Santa Maria Mazzarello under the “Chinese Literacy Education and Research (CLEAR) Project”.
Through the “Career Training Series: Flower Box Workshop & Career Sharing”, the School of Education hopes to support students’ professional growth and foster appreciation for the dedication, passion, and positive impact of all teachers.
Prof. Franz Gassner presented a paper on Cardinal Thomas Tien Ken-sin 田耕莘 SVD at “The International Symposium on the Centennial of the Consecration of the first Six Chinese Bishops in Rome (1926) — The Indigenization of the Chinese Catholic Church and the Rise of Chinese Cardinals”.
The two institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics related to academic cooperation.
