Call for Papers
The organising committee of the 2025 International Symposium on Children and Youth Health and Well-being welcomes you to submit your research to present at this event.
The Symposium will address different topics that focus on children and youth health and well-being. Papers are expected to fit into one of the named themes and sub-themes:
- Global Practices in Children and Youth Mental Health and Digital Interventions. This section addresses the global challenges of children and youth mental health crises (such as depression, anxiety, and school bullying) and explores the innovative use of digital tools in screening, intervention, and long-term support.
- Social integration and policy innovation for vulnerable children and youth groups. Focusing on left-behind children, children with disabilities, and migrant children and youth, studies analyze barriers to social integration and supports strategies.
- The ethical boundaries of artificial intelligence and child and adolescent health services. Studies explore the potential and ethical risks of AI technologies (such as intelligent diagnosis and personalized education) in children and youth health, addressing issues such as technology misuse, privacy protection, and algorithmic bias.
- Interdisciplinary research on climate change and health risks for children and youth. Analyze the long-term impacts of extreme climate events (such as high temperatures and air pollution) on the physical and mental health of children and adolescents, and propose adaptive intervention measures.
- Child- and youth-friendly transformation of public services. Addressing the scarcity of child- and youth-related resources (such as healthcare and education) in developing countries, including China, this initiative explores the universalization and high-quality provision of public services for children and youth.
- Children and Youth Digital Literacy and Cyberbullying Prevention. This section explores the complexity of children and youth online behavior in the digital age, researching cyberbullying prevention mechanisms, platform responsibility, and collaborative family-school-society education models, addressing the global trend of widespread cyberbullying.
- Comparative research on child and youth welfare from a cross-cultural perspective. Through international comparison, this study analyzes the effectiveness and limitations of child and youth welfare policies in different cultural contexts, providing diverse and mutually beneficial references for the protection of the rights and interests of children and youth worldwide.
- Country-specific research on children and youth well-being. Analyze the similarities and differences in concepts, policies, systems, and models of child and youth well -being across countries with different social systems, development stages, and cultural traditions, and draw lessons for these countries.
- Services and research on social organizations for children and youth. This section explores the current status, challenges, and future trends of social organizations dedicated to protecting the welfare of children and youth worldwide.
