On 18 April 2026, team members from the Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education’s (DLCRE) Chinese Literacy Education and Research (CLEAR) Project participated in the 12th Conference for Research in Early Childhood Education (CRECE 2026) held at the Education University of Hong Kong.

The cross-institutional research team, including Prof. CHENG Pui-wan and Ms. Terry TSE Po Man from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Ms. Gloria HO Wing-sze and Ms. LEUNG Yu Fung from Joyful Literacy Education Professional Consultants Co. Limited, and Prof. Miranda MAK Chi Kuan and Ms. Chu Ka Wai from the University of Saint Joseph, shared their work on integrating nursery rhymes and picture books into inclusive education curricula.

In alignment with the SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), the presentation highlighted a decade of success in transitioning from funded projects to sustainable school-based models for “early identification and intervention.” The team also shared insights from their recent expansion into Hong Kong, exploring paradigm shifts in language support. Partner school representatives attended, celebrating the cross-regional synergy that continues to drive innovation in early childhood literacy.
