The School of Education (SED) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) successfully hosted the PGDE Alumni Comeback: Connect and Collaborate event on Saturday, 14 March. The gathering brought together current PGDE students and distinguished alumni for a casual and interactive afternoon filled with meaningful reconnection and professional exchange.
With the lively backdrop of the USJ International Cultural Carnival, alumni and students enjoyed light snacks while engaging in open conversations. The featured alumni guests shared their valuable experiences and practical insights, covering career paths in education, survival skills for young teachers and current trends in the job market. The event created a warm and inspiring atmosphere where the next generation of educators could learn directly from those who have already made their mark in local schools. Alumni reconnected with old friends and the USJ community, while current students gained real-world guidance and built valuable professional networks, fostering a strong sense of collaboration and community among participants.
This successful gathering reflects the SED’s ongoing commitment to supporting its alumni and students while contributing to the development of quality teaching professionals in Macau. We look forward to organizing more initiatives that strengthen these important connections within the educational community.
