USJ Macao and the Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC) in Lisbon, Portugal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic and scientific cooperation.
On March 13, 2026, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao and the Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC) in Lisbon, Portugal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic and scientific cooperation.
The meeting and signing of the MoU were facilitated by Prof. Tânia Carraquico, President of ISEC, and Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs at USJ Macau.
After both institutions were presented by Prof. Luís Moreira, Director for Quality and Compliance at ISEC, Dr. Patricia Pacheco, Head of the Internationalization Department at ISEC, outlined the institution’s internationalisation strategy.
Following this, the Deans of the Escola de Comunicação, Artes e Indústrias Criativas and the Escola de Educação e Desenvolvimento Humano, Prof. Ricardo Loução and Prof. Rui Fonseca, respectively, discussed various potential areas of cooperation in their fields.
This partnership has the potential to bring significant academic advancements, benefiting the scholarly communities of both institutions.
