The School of Education (SED) was pleased to host a delegation of international post-doctoral scholars for a special session on General Studies in Primary Education. The class led by Prof. Isabel Tchiang, Dean of the School of Education and Director of the Teachers’ Professional Development Centre, on 30 October, became a dynamic forum for global academic exchange.
The visiting academics attended the lecture to engage directly with USJ students and faculty, discussing contemporary primary education methodologies, innovative teaching practices, and cross-cultural approaches to learning. The session provided a unique opportunity for our students to interact with leading experts in the field.
The delegation included Dr. Sayma Arju, Chair of the Department of English at Stamford University, Bangladesh, Dr. Liza Sharmin, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, and Dr. Aide Mancilla, Professor at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico City.
Throughout the session, the guests shared valuable perspectives and insights from their respective institutions and cultural contexts. This facilitated a rich, intercultural knowledge exchange, allowing participants to compare educational frameworks and challenges in different parts of the world.
