USJ Reaches Four Cooperation Intents at the "Macau-Hengqin-Zhuhai Industry-University-Research Cooperation Matchmaking Conference"

With two key projects, the University of Saint Joseph signed letters of intent with four companies at the conference, becoming the university in Macao with the most signed agreements.
The “Macau-Hengqin-Zhuhai Industry-University-Research Cooperation Matchmaking Conference'” organised by the Science and Technology Development Fund and the Zhuhai Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, took place in Hengqin on 7 November 2025.
Professor Alexandre Lobo, Vice-Rector for Research of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), and Professor George Du, Dean of the USJ’s Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEAS), attended the conference.
The conference attracted participation from five local universities and numerous enterprises, resulting in nine cooperation intentions. With two key projects, the University of Saint Joseph signed letters of intent with four companies at the conference, becoming the university in Macao with the most signed agreements.
Professor Du Wencai’s team attracted the attention of three companies with their “IoT-based smart healthcare for the elderly” project, signing letters of intent with Zhuhai Jiayihui Health Technology Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Hengqin Quanxing Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhuhai Chengmi Technology Co., Ltd.
Professor Alexandre Lobo’s team partnered with the Zhuhai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital on their “Brain-Computer Interface Multimodal System with AI Decision”.
