USJ Macao Receives HKD 250,000 Donation from Dr. Anthony Kwong Ki Yeung to Support International Students Solidarity Fund

Dr. Anthony Kwok-Ki Yeung, Chairman of KK Yeung Management Consultants Limited and recipient of USJ’s Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration presented a generous donation of HKD 250,000 to the USJ International Students Solidarity Fund.
On 22 December 2025, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao welcomed Hong Kong-based philanthropist and business leader Dr. Anthony Kwok-Ki Yeung, JP, and his family, including his son, daughter, two nephews and a niece, for a formal cheque presentation ceremony and a special campus tour.
Dr. Yeung presented a generous donation of HKD 250,000 to the USJ International Students Solidarity Fund, a contribution aimed at strengthening the University’s mission to provide accessible higher education to talented international students facing financial adversity. The donation was received by the Acting Rector of USJ, Dr. Alejandro Salcedo.
During the ceremony, Dr. Salcedo expressed the University’s profound gratitude for Mr. Yeung’s continued support, noting that such contributions are vital to maintaining the institution’s commitment to global equity and academic excellence.
Dr. Anthony Kwok-Ki Yeung, Chairman of KK Yeung Management Consultants Limited and recipient of USJ’s Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration, is widely recognised for his notable achievements in the business sector and his unwavering commitment to ethical leadership. His professional endeavours have long focused on internationalisation, a vision that aligns seamlessly with USJ’s multicultural academic environment. Through this donation, Mr. Yeung continues to exemplify how commerce can serve as a powerful force for social good.
Witnessing the occasion were the USJ delegation including Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law Prof. Jenny Oliveros Lao Phillips, Head of the International Affairs Office (IAO) Mrs Paula Mota, Officer of IAO Mr Paulo Albuquerque, and Senior Officer of the Secretariat and Public Relations Office Ms Jerusa Antunes.

The USJ International Students Solidarity Fund is built upon the core values of integrity, service, equity, and accessibility. For years, USJ has provided essential grants to underprivileged students from diverse regions, including Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, East Timor, Myanmar, and Chinese migrant communities in Macao.
The launch of the International Students Solidarity Fund ensures that no student is forced to abandon their educational aspirations due to economic challenges. By removing financial barriers, the fund enables scholars from around the world to study in Macao.
