The university continues to expand its international network and support students in pursuing global educational opportunities.

Supported by the Macao SAR Education Fund, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Macao continued its international outreach efforts by participating in the BMI/Times Higher Education Vietnam Global Education Fair in Ho Chi Minh City on 17 March 2026, alongside a series of visits to leading international secondary schools on 16 March 2026.

The programme provided valuable opportunities for USJ to connect with prospective students at different stages of their academic journeys and to introduce Macao as an increasingly attractive destination for higher education. The education fair brought together over 40 universities from 18 countries, attracting a large number of students and families exploring international study pathways.

As the only institution representing Macao, USJ offered visitors first-hand insights into its academic programmes, English-medium instruction, and multicultural learning environment. The delegation engaged directly with students and parents, sharing information on admissions, scholarships, and student life, while highlighting Macao’s position as a safe, dynamic, and globally connected city.

In addition to the main fair, the delegation visited SNA Marianapolis International School – Bien Hoa Campus, Pennsylvania American International School System, and Australian International School. These visits enabled direct engagement with students through booth interactions and one-on-one discussions, fostering meaningful exchanges and raising awareness of USJ’s academic offerings.

Students demonstrated strong interest in programmes such as business, communication, and biotechnology, and showed increasing openness toward studying in Asia. The USJ team was encouraged by the level of enthusiasm and confidence displayed by Vietnamese students when discussing their academic aspirations and future career plans.

USJ Macao has a strong presence in the Vietnamese market, having established valuable connections with students and school counsellors through its participation in various initiatives. The university continues to expand its international network and support students in pursuing global educational opportunities.
