This agreement paves the way for a transfer degree programme, offering HUFLIT business students an opportunity to study at USJ Macao.
On the 7th March 2025, a University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao delegation led by Vice-Rector Álvaro Barbosa visited the Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) to officially sign a Memorandum of Agreement, marking the beginning of a new academic collaboration in the field of Business Administration. This agreement paves the way for a transfer degree programme, offering HUFLIT business students an opportunity to study at USJ Macao.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Huan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at HUFLIT, expressed enthusiasm for the new collaboration, highlighting the shared vision of both institutions in advancing business education. Prof. Álvaro echoed this sentiment, emphasising that the programme will serve as a bridge for HUFLIT business students to gain valuable international exposure and practical business experience at USJ Macao.
The transfer degree programme in Business Administration will be jointly managed by USJ’s Faculty of Business and Law and HUFLIT’s Faculty of Business Administration. Designed as a pilot initiative, the programme will combine theoretical knowledge with practical business applications, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in the global business environment.
In addition to the signing ceremony, Prof. Álvaro and Prof. Alessandro Lampo, Programme Coordinator for the Bachelor of Business Administration Programme at USJ Macao, led a series of specialised business training workshops aimed at fostering deeper academic ties between USJ and HUFLIT. The workshops focused on the application of artificial intelligence (A.I.) in business, encouraging students to explore innovative solutions and engage in strategic discussions on future business challenges.
This MoA marks a pivotal milestone in the relationship between USJ and HUFLIT, reinforcing their joint commitment to providing students with international learning opportunities and preparing them to thrive in the competitive global business landscape.
