The Doctoral School of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is pleased to announce the signing of a new cooperation agreement with the Escola de Comunicações e Artes (ECA) of the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil.

This agreement, signed by Professor Dr. Adérito Fernandes-Marcos, Dean of USJ’s Doctoral School, and Prof. Maria Clotilde Perez Rodrigues, Director of ECA/USP, is dedicated to fostering academic exchange. Building upon the existing broader Memorandum of Understanding between USJ and ECA/USP, this specific agreement centers on enhancing academic cooperation in the fields of arts, communications, and humanities. Its primary objective is to promote and facilitate the mobility of doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows, and administrative staff between the two institutions.

Both parties are commitment to providing advanced research opportunities and enriching the academic experience for doctoral candidates and researchers. By enabling the exchange of expertise and collaborative work, the agreement aims to strengthen the research landscape and contribute to significant advancements in these areas within the Lusophone academic community and beyond. The partnership will facilitate opportunities for doctoral students to expand their research horizons and for post-doctoral fellows to engage in international collaborative projects.
