USJ Delegation visits Zhuhai College of Science and Technology (ZCST)

Meeting and discussions to strengthen the connection between USJ and ZCST at both institutional and faculty levels was successfully held. 



On March 23, a delegation from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) led by Dr. Teresa Loong, Vice-Rector for Student Life, accompanied by Ben Lei, Head of the Domestic Recruitment Office (DSRO), and Prof. Thomas Lei, Chair of the Scientific Council from the Institute of Science and Environment (ISE), visited the Zhuhai College of Science and Technology (ZCST) for meetings and discussions on further collaborations. 

The USJ delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Cheng Chunmei, ZCST Vice-Rector, Prof. Dong Yan, Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, Dr. Li Zi, Deputy Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, and Ms. Cui Jingyu, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Specialist for Hong Kong and Macao Affairs. 

A productive meeting and discussion between the USJ delegations and the ZCST senior management and faculty representation from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Prof. Pan Xinxin, the School of Life Sciences, Prof. Saren Gaowa, and the School of Business, Prof. Xiu Guangli, to strengthen the connection between USJ and ZCST at both institutional and faculty levels was successfully held. 

A promotional talk of the USJ postgraduate programme was presented by Vice-Rector Dr. Teresa Loong and Head of DSRO Ben Lei to a group of over 30 Bachelor students at ZCST, who also expressed interest in applying to the USJ postgraduate programme. In addition, Prof. Thomas Lei presented a seminar talk titled “Case Study of Macau: Implementation of 30.60 Dual Carbon Goals, ESG Management, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”. 

About ZCST:

ZCST was established on May 18, 2004, and now has 25 secondary colleges, 9 university major clusters, 66 undergraduate majors, and more than 30,000 full-time undergraduate students. ZCST covers an area of 398 acres and is equipped with high-quality teaching and living facilities, including teaching buildings, libraries, comprehensive laboratories, electromagnetic laboratories, logistics laboratories, gymnasiums, swimming pools, stadiums, a driving range, and basketball courts.
