Fujian National Knowledge and Cultural Exchange Tour from 18 – 22 June 2017
A group of 20 students and staff of USJ had the exchange in Fujian from 18 to 20 June 2017. During the tour, our students have fostered their understanding on the opportunities given to Macau under the “One belt One road” policy through the exchange of ideas with the students of the Fujian Higher Education Student Union and the Students’ Association of Huaqiao University. In addition, they have also visited various cultural sites like the Hakka earthly building and Gulangyu Island which deepened their understanding on the cultural background of Fujian.
On the last day of their visit, the group visited the Xiamen Planning Exhibition Hall. Many of the key cities in the Mainland have their own planning exhibition hall which introduced the positioning of the city. The group thinks that it is worth for Macau to have the city planning so that we are well informed of the positioning and future development of Macau.
Through this exchange tour, the members of the group has understood better the importance of the “One belt One road” policy and it is beneficial to both the students and staff participating in similar activities in the future.
