USJ School of Education received a delegation of 31 Primary Five students and teachers from Colégio Diocesano de São José 5 (CDSJ5).

To foster partnership between higher and basic education, the School of Education at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) received a delegation of 31 Primary Five students and teachers from Colégio Diocesano de São José 5 (CDSJ5), led by Vice-Principal Cheng Cheuk Kee, on April 30. Through a guided campus tour, USJ provided the students with a firsthand look at the academic atmosphere and the higher education environment.

The visit featured a mathematics teaching demonstration by five students from the third-year of Bachelor of Education. Centered on “Mixed Operations of Fractions,” the student teachers applied pedagogical theories and interactive strategies to engage the young learners in a vibrant classroom setting.

The exchange offered CDSJ5 students an enriching off-campus experience while providing pre-service teachers with vital practical training, effectively bridging the gap between educational theory and practice.
