Members of the Alumni Association of USJ celebrated Chinese New Year with International Students residing in-campus on 29 January 2022.

On February 29, 2022, members of the Alumni Association of the University of Saint Joseph (AAUSJ) gathered with International students living in-campus at the Residential Hall to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

AAUSJ prepared and gave the international students “CNY Blessing Bags” or bags filled with Chinese new year goodies such as traditional candies, introduced Chinese traditions during the festival such as writing “Fai Chun” and explaining the meaning of each writing/blessing, along with snacking on traditional dishes.

International students were excited to share their personal experience in Macao and their studies and projects during the past semester with the alumni and were welcomed with feedback and encouragement.

The gathering promoted community engagement among students and alumni of USJ, and was organised by AAUSJ and the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA).
