Macau Winter Doctoral Seminar: Research in Contemporary Cinema & Culture will be held from 21 Jan 2019 to 23 Jan 2019 at USJ’s Don Bosco Auditorium.

“Macau Winter Doctoral Seminar (MWDS): Research in Contemporary Cinema & Culture” will be held from January 21st (Monday) to January 23rd (Wednesday) at USJ’s Don Bosco Auditorium.

Its primary target group is candidates enrolled in a Master or PhD programme in the fields of Cinema and Culture (or related), as well as postdoctoral candidates and other professionals.

The event will focus on the following topics:

  • Research Methods in Cinema
  • Film Semiotic Analysis
  • Asian Cinema/Post Cinema
  • Finance and Fiction
  • Fiction-Cinema/Hybrid Cinema

The event is organised by University of Saint Joseph’s Faculty of Creative Industries, The Lisbon Consortium, Universidade Católica Portuguesa and CITAR (Research Center for Sciences and Technology of the Arts in Católica Porto‘s School of Arts).
