The Department of Languages and Culture of USJ/FAH is pleased to present the students’ work exhibition of the course in Portuguese-Chinese Translation Studies during the 2024-2025 academic year, taking place from 30 September – 17 October at the USJ Kent Wong Gallery.
The Department of Languages and Culture of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) at the University of Saint Joseph, Macao (USJ) is pleased to announce the 3rd Exhibition of Student Works from the Portuguese-Chinese Translation Studies and the General Portuguese Courses, which will take place from 30 September to 17 October 2025, at the Kent Wong Gallery (B/1 floor).
Organised in partnership with the Department of Architecture and Design, the exhibition “DIVERSAS – Diversity in the Portuguese and Chinese Languages” will showcase projects developed by students from the Bachelor’s in Portuguese-Chinese Translation Studies and by Portuguese Language students from various undergraduate programs of USJ during the 2024-2025 academic year.
The exhibition is a vibrant dialogue between Portuguese and Chinese, presenting the results of the students’ effort and dedication. Through the translation and interpretation of texts from different genres, themes, and fields of knowledge, the works reflect the richness and complexities of these two languages. The diversity of the pieces on display highlights not only the evolution in learning but also the cultural, social, and historical nuances that shape them.
More than an academic presentation, this exhibition is an invitation to reflect on the importance of intercultural dialogue for building a more united and inclusive world. The works demonstrate the power of translation as a tool to bridge distances and understand cultures.

A FAH convida para a 3ª Exposição DIVERSAS: A Diversidade nas Línguas Portuguesa e Chinesa
O Departamento de Línguas e Cultura da Faculdade de Artes e Humanidades (FAH) da Universidade de São José (USJ) tem o prazer de anunciar a 3ª Exposição de Trabalhos dos Estudantes do Curso de Estudos de Tradução Português-Chinês e de Português Geral, que acontecerá de 30 de Setembro a 17 de Outubro de 2025, na Galeria Kent Wong (piso B/1) do campus da Ilha Verde.
Organizada em parceria com o Departamento de Arquitetura e Design, a exposição “DIVERSAS – A Diversidade nas Línguas Portuguesa e Chinesa” exibirá projetos desenvolvidos pelos alunos da Licenciatura em Estudos de Tradução Português-Chinês e por estudantes de Português das diferentes licenciaturas da USJ, durante o ano letivo de 2024-2025.
A mostra é um diálogo vibrante entre o português e o chinês, apresentando o resultado do empenho e da dedicação dos alunos. Através da tradução e interpretação de textos de diferentes géneros, temas e áreas do conhecimento, os trabalhos refletem a riqueza e as complexidades destas duas línguas. A diversidade das peças expostas evidencia não apenas a evolução na aprendizagem, mas também as nuances culturais, sociais e históricas que as moldam.
Mais do que uma apresentação académica, esta exposição é um convite à reflexão sobre a importância do diálogo intercultural para a construção de um mundo mais unido e inclusivo. As obras demonstram o poder da tradução como ferramenta para diminuir distâncias e compreender culturas.
