The Catholic Foundation for Higher Education
The Catholic Foundation for Higher Education (Fundação Católica de Ensino Superior Universitário) was created in Macao in January 1996 by the Diocese of Macao and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Catholic University of Portugal).
The Foundation is the title-holder of the University of Saint Joseph and its main aims are to contribute to the development of Higher Education in Macao, to promote and develop the rich humanistic and cultural heritage of Macao, and to promote interchange between universities and other cultural and scientific institutions.
