USJ received a visit from Associate Professor Miguel Angel Martin Contreras from the School of Nuclear Science and Technology at the University of South China.
On the 11th of February, 2025, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) received a visit from Associate Professor Miguel Angel Martin Contreras from the School of Nuclear Science and Technology at the University of South China. Prof. Martin was warmly welcomed by Prof. Ivan Arraut from the Faculty of Business and Law, who teaches General Physics for the Bachelor of Environmental Science.
During his visit, Professor Martin delivered a talk on the application about fundamental physics, explaining the origin of hadrons and other fundamental particles. His talk also covered essential topics such as fundamental interactions and holography, enriching the academic experience for attendees in the General Physics class.
Following the presentation, Prof. Martin and Prof. Arraut toured the USJ Ilha Verde Campus and the USJ Institute of Science and Environment (ISE) located in the Nape campus.
Prof. Martin is currently collaborating with Prof. Arraut. Joined on various research projects, which are set to strengthen the ties between both institutions.
