Students from the Bachelor of Business Administration programme participated in the AI Education Day organized by the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU-Macau).
On Saturday, 26 October, students from the Year 4 students from the Bachelor of Business Administration, under the guidance of their lecturer Prof. Weng Chi Lei, participated in the AI Education Day organized by the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU-Macau). The event was held at Wynn Palace with the aim of helping students grasp cutting-edge technological trends and broaden their career perspectives and industry connections.
The visit was sponsored by the Macao Foundation. Prof. Lei led the students in engaging with a forum of global educators and innovators at the forefront of developing inclusive and accessible AI solutions for education, discussing the practical applications and future development of artificial intelligence across various industries. The session showcased how artificial intelligence is being applied to enhance learning accessibility, tackle global challenges, and meaningfully engage the younger generation, offering both practical insights and motivational perspectives on the role of technology in social impact. Participating students not only learned how AI drives business innovation and enhances decision-making efficiency but also gained practical insights into integrating technology into business strategies.
This experiential learning activity reinforces students’ knowledge of competitiveness and cross-domain collaboration capabilities in the AI era. For the diverse student body, which includes local Macao, international, and Lusophone-background students, the activity further expanded their global perspectives and provided different angles for observing global technological trends. This will benefit their future development in areas such as cross-border enterprises, technology management, or policy promotion.
Some participating students expressed that the visit deepened their understanding of “cross-sector collaboration to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” and inspired them to integrate technology and sustainability into their career planning. This experience has prepared them to enter innovation-driven industries in the future.
