On 28 February 2022, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) received a courtesy visit by the Chairman of China (Hong Kong) English School (CHES), Dr. Jonathan K.C. Choi.



On the morning of 28th of February 2022, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) received a courtesy visit by the Chairman of China (Hong Kong) English School (CHES), Dr. Jonathan K.C. Choi.

Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Strategic Development, Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, accompanied by the Head of the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs, Ms. Teresa Loong, and the Head of the Communication and Public Relations Office, Ms Isadora Liang, warmly welcomed Dr. Choi and introduced USJ on a campus tour prior meeting.

During the meeting, Dr. Choi introduced the history of CHES since its inception in 1994, becoming the first international private school providing bilingual education in Zhongshan, Guandong. He also stated that there had been 10 CHES alumni graduating from USJ since 2007, including alumnus Mr. Roy Leong (Bachelor of Psychology, Class of 2007) present at the tour.

Dr. Choi is also very interested in the programmes offered at USJ and hopes that more of his students will come to pursue higher education. Lastly, he invited USJ to visit CHES in Zhongshan for a campus tour soon.
