USJ Macao Participated in AUAP Joint Events 2025 in the Philippines and signed MoUs with 8 universities

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, actively participated in the Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific’s (AUAP) 2025 AUAP Joint Events, held from 21 to 23 May in Manila, Philippines.



The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, actively participated in the 2025 AUAP Joint Events, held from 21 to 23 May in Manila, Philippines. This year’s programme featured three major milestones: the 9th AUAP Forum & Networking, the 37th AUAP Annual Conference, and the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP).

Professor Álvaro Barbosa, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs at USJ, represented the university throughout the event. In addition to his engagement in the forum and conference sessions, Professor Barbosa also took part in the AUAP Executive Board Meeting, where he represented the Rector of USJ, Rev’d Prof. Stephen Morgan.

During the event, USJ strengthened its international partnerships by signing eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions from Asia and Europe. These included: World Citi Colleges (WCC), Philippines, University of Science and Technology (CCN-UST), Philippines, Pan-European University (PEU), Slovakia, Pampanga State University (PSU), Philippines, Rizal Technological University (RTU), Philippines, Lyceum of the Philippines University–Batangas (LPU-B), Philippines, SEGi University Sdn Bhd (SEGi), Malaysia, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Philippines

These agreements aim to facilitate joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, dual degree programmes, and other collaborative initiatives that enrich the academic environment of all institutions involved.
