USJ Design Student Wins Second Prize at International Design Competition

Ng Chi Leong (Faris) has been awarded Second Prize at the Greater Bay Area Innovation Achievement Transformation Competition, held as part of the DiD Award (Dongguan Cup) International Industrial Design Award 2025 in Hong Kong.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao is proud to announce that Ng Chi Leong (Faris) has been awarded Second Prize at the Greater Bay Area Innovation Achievement Transformation Competition, held as part of the DiD Award (Dongguan Cup) International Industrial Design Award 2025 in Hong Kong.
Ng Chi Leong, a 2024–2025 graduate of the Bachelor of Design programme at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, received the award for his Product Design project titled “Purify.” The project was recognised for its innovative approach, strong design methodology, and potential for real-world application within the Greater Bay Area context.
The project was developed under the academic supervision of Prof. Filipa Simões (Programme Supervisor), Prof. Carlos Sena Caires (Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities), Prof. Vincent Ho, and Prof. Gerald Estadieu, whose guidance contributed significantly to the project’s success.
This achievement highlights the Faculty’s commitment to excellence in design education and its growing impact on international design platforms.
