The Premier and Minister of Finance of the British Virgin Islands, Dr The Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley and the Premier’s delegation, accompanied by the British Virgin Islands Government Representative Office Hong Kong, visited USJ and were warmly welcomed by the Rector, Rev’d Prof. Stephen Morgan and other members of the Senior Management.
The Premier and Minister of Finance of the British Virgin Islands, Dr The Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley and the Premier’s delegation, accompanied by the British Virgin Islands Government Representative Office Hong Kong, visited USJ and were warmly welcomed by the Rector, Rev’d Prof. Stephen Morgan and other members of the Senior Management.
During the meeting, the USJ Rector presented the international cooperation projects of USJ and encompassed ideas on strengthening Macao’s role as a Sino-Lusophone platform, enhancing collaboration in higher education, and nurturing talent not only at the Sino-Lusophone platform but also at the global level. There was also an opportunity to highlight the USJ scholarship scheme for British Virgin Islands students and demonstrate the interest in exploring academic pursuits , further enhancing the amicable relations between Macao SAR and the British Virgin Islands.
Dr. The Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley acknowledged USJ’s role in fostering talent and research collaborations between Macao SAR and other geographical areas and also discussed the increasing areas of interest for cooperation in the realms on the areas of finance, law, tourism and leisure and joint research projects on the marine and environment sciences.
The visit was followed by a tour of the USJ’s innovative laboratories and studios, and a conversation with the USJ’s British Virgin Islands students concluded the visit.
