Theology Public Lecture & Evening Prayer | Making Hope Real

24

Nov

The Theology Public Lecture & Evening Prayer “Making Hope Real” will take place on Friday, 24 November, from 7PM – 8PM, in St. Dominic Church.

About the Talk:

In the Christian tradition hope is not wishful thinking, but the virtue which helps us through the difficulties we experience on the path to salvation. St Thomas Aquinas provides an account of the life of Christian virtue grounded in the theological virtues of faith, hope and love, but he also shows us how the cardinal virtues enable us to live these theological virtues in the concrete circumstances of our lives. The lecture will be looking at how St Thomas’ account of hope is informed by his account of the cardinal virtues.
