The Public Lecture “Gamification in Teaching and Learning”, organised by the Teacher’s Professional Development Centre – School of Education, will take place on October, 19 at the Don Bosco Auditorium, USJ Ilha Verde Campus.

ABOUT THE TALK:

Gamification in education is a strategy to encourage intrinsic motivation, and for increasing engagement, applying game principles (e.g. point scoring, achievement badges, rules of play, emotions, collaboration). By incorporating game elements into an educational environment teachers improve learning and make it more engaging for students. Gamification is not limited to the classroom but can be used in learning situations outside.
