CURB hosts “ON THE MOVE VII: ILHA VERDE MOMENTS” – Rooftop Parallel Screening – a Documentary made by USJ’s students, on Saturday, 11 October, 6:30 PM, at the Ponte 9 – Creative Platform Rooftop.

ILHA VERDE MOMENTS: Creative Bicycle Rides, held on 27 September 2025, started from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) campus in Ilha Verde. The event invited participants to explore the surrounding neighbourhoods of Ilha Verde, Toi San, and Fai Chi Kei through a series of curated cycling journeys.

More than 40 participants joined curator Prof. Nuno Soares, Head of the Department of Architecture and Design, on four guided rides that revealed the hidden urban and cultural landscapes of Macao’s northern district. Along the way, sounds and images were captured, forming the foundation for a Documentary made by USJ’s students and coordinated by Prof. João Brochado, Head of the Department of Media, Arts and Technology, and a Video Art by Communication and Media alumnus Wilson Kam.

The Rooftop Parallel Screening of “On the Move VII: Ilha Verde Moments” will take the audience to ride hidden streets of Macao through the screen, this time to explore Green Island and Northern district of Macao.

These works will premiere at a Rooftop Parallel Screening on Saturday, October 11, at 6:30 PM, at the Ponte 9 – Creative Platform Rooftop. Through film, the audience will once again ride through Macao’s hidden streets—this time on screen—rediscovering the city’s “Green Island” from a new perspective.

The event is open to the public, and no registration is required. CURB warmly invites the USJ community and all interested guests to explore the surroundings of Ilha Verde, home to the University of Saint Joseph, and to enjoy snacks and drinks while watching the sunset from the unique atmosphere of the Ponte 9 rooftop.

More information about the event can be found on CURB Facebook and Instagram pages.

This event is sponsored by the Macao Special Administrative Region Cultural Development Fund.
