ABOUT THE TALK:
“Sustainable Business Lab Industry Roundtable – AI Applications for Social Entrepreneurs” will bring together impact-driven leaders to explore the intersection of cutting-edge technology and social change. In an era where artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept but a present-day tool, this session will explore its powerful potential to address pressing societal challenges.
Set against the backdrop of Artyzen Macau, this exclusive evening will examine how AI, AR, and VR can be harnessed beyond commercial applications to create meaningful impact for vulnerable communities. The discussion will specifically spotlight innovations in Special Educational Needs (SEN), demonstrating how immersive technologies and intelligent systems can transform learning experiences, accessibility, and social inclusion.
Moderated by Prof. Florence Lei, Coordinator for the Sustainable Business Lab, the roundtable will feature two pioneering social entrepreneurs. Mr. Ernest Chan, Founder of AESIR.hk and East Asia Representative for CatalystNow, will share his journey of creating immersive games for persons with special needs. Joining him is Mr. Patrick Lau, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and founder of Snaildy Education, who has leveraged innovative business models to support over 20,000 SEN students, teachers, and parents.
Together, they will explore the challenges and opportunities at the nexus of technology and social entrepreneurship, offering a forward-looking perspective on how AI can be a catalyst for an equitable and sustainable future.
