About the Talk:
A Data Protection Officer (DPO) has emerged as a pivotal figure in the modern organization. This talk explores the dynamic journey of the DPO, focusing on their role and responsibilities, the challenges they face, and solutions to improve the data protection compliance system in the context of the growing use of artificial intelligence.
This talk, part of the Data Protection and Governance series co-organized by the Faculty of Business and Law of USJ and the Rui Cunha Foundation, brings together leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to present their perspectives on emerging issues pertaining to data privacy, protection, and governance across different jurisdictions.
