A USJ delegation, led by Vice-Rector Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, participated in the “Lingnan Cultural Creativity Guangdong-Macau Exchange Conference” on February 24, 2023.
On behalf of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs, accompanied by Prof. Vincent Ho, Visiting Academic – Department of Architecture and Design of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) and USJ Alumn Mr. Pan Chengzhi, participated in the Lingnan Cultural Creativity Guangdong-Macau Exchange Conference in Hongyu Creative Park on February 24, 2023.
The event was promoted by the Foshan Chancheng Cultural Industry Association and Hongyu Creative Park, and supported by the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, Macau Cultural and Creative Industry Talent Development Association, and other institutions.
Participating guests had constructive discussions around the topics of Lingnan cultural and creative innovation, talent training, and cross-border cooperation, aimed at exploring new opportunities for the development of Lingnan cultural and creative industries in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
During the Conference, USJ Alumn Mr. Pan Chengzhi, founder of Taowan Maker (Foshan) Technology Co., Ltd., also shared his views and experience on how to integrate product development and explore new business models for cultural products using IP.
Attendees of the Conference included Liu Qiang, Deputy Chief of the Industry Development Section of Foshan Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau；Li Wanli, Chief of the Industry Section of Chancheng District Culture and Sports Bureau；Luo Yeli, Secretary-General of Foshan Chancheng District Cultural Industry Association, General Manager of Hongyu Creative Park and other leaders and business representatives.
