RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR USE OF INSTITUTION FACILITIES

To ensure safety and to comply with Government and local public health regulations orders that place down travel restrictions, require physical distancing, campus physical distancing, and use, cleaning and disinfection of facilities guidelines, the University has implemented the following protocols:

  • All campus buildings must be accessed through designated access points, until further notice;
  • Individuals entering the campus will be requested to have their body temperature measured and require presenting their official ‘Personal HealthDeclaration’. (Anyone displaying symptoms of fever will not be allowed to enter the campus);
  • All relevant personal information from individuals entering the campus will be recorded and reported to the University Secretariat Office for further handling;
  • Anyone in the University space (including buildings, grounds, shared laboratory areas, conference rooms, elevators, parking structures, etc.) must wear a surgical medical mask, that covers both nose and mouth at all times, except when alone in a private room;
  • People with access to the University facilities in any of the campuses will be required to comply with personnel flow restriction regulations in public areas on campus (e.g. library, sports centre) and maintain a social distance within these areas;
  • Where lines may form, floor markings will be applied to indicate 1.5 meters of separation for those in line, and personnel will be encouraged to use the markings to maintain distance;
  • All personnel on the University campus must keep social distance, whenever possible, and abstain from physical contact, including shaking hands;
  • To ensure that people can easily maintain social distance from one another at all times there will be a restriction on the number of people who can enter into a facility at all times;
  • Personnel will be recommended not to come to work if they feel unwell;
  • Frequent disinfecting of bathrooms, common areas, and high-contact surfaces
    will be implemented;
  • Hand sanitiser and surgical medical masks will be available at locations
    presenting a greater likelihood of contact with people;
  • Any member of the faculty of staff who, for justifiable reasons, wish to work from home rather than from campus may seek permission from their respective Dean, Coordinator or Head of Office;
  • Faculty and staff members, students and visitors who have been allowed on campus will be requested leave the campus after their activities have finished;
  • Inviting visitors to campus must be approved by the respective Dean, Coordinator or Head of Office.
