To strengthen relations and promote activities and projects of mutual interest, Alliance Française de Macao and the University of Saint Joseph have entered a formal partnership through the signing of a MOU.

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and the Alliance Française Macao (AFM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friday, June 4th 2021, to strengthen relations and promote activities and projects of mutual interest.

Planned joint initiatives include cooperation on joint cultural activities, masterclasses and workshops; and the development of international exchange programmes, French language programmes and the internationally recognised French language proficiency diploma DELF-DALF in the upcoming academic year.

“We think that this partnership is important, as we are acting not only towards the platform for the Portuguese Speaking countries but also, as a European-style university,  that can offer courses from other parts of Europe, and this agreement with Alliance Française makes sense for the university, hopefully for the student community and for Macao,” said Rev. Deacon Stephen Morgan, Rector of USJ.

Both parties believe that this will be instrumental in promoting the French language and culture in Macao.
