A delegation from the General Association of Chinese Students of Macau (AECM) visited USJ for a campus tour and meeting on the 12th of March, 2022.



On Saturday, 12th of March 2022, a delegation from the General Association of Chinese Students of Macau (AECM) led by Mr. Jacky Mio, the vice-president of the 61st Executive Committee, visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) for a campus tour and meeting. The delegation was warmly received by the members of the 7th University of Saint Joseph Students’ Association (USJSA.

The campus tour was led by the chairman, António Ambrose and vice-chairman of the Executive Committee, Ding Tam and Maximas Wu. The delegation visited the Library, Gym, Students’ Lounge, various offices, Digital Fabrication Lab, Don Bosco Auditorium and the Rooftop Garden. After the tour, the delegation held a meeting at the Students’ Lounge.

In the meeting, chairman António thanked the AECM on behalf of the USJSA for their continuous support, and the Vice-chairman Tam and vice-president Mio of the AECM exchanged the mission statements of their respective organisations.

Vice-chairman Wu remarked that the cabinet of the USJSA was passionate yet inexperienced; therefore, it was a relatively tough start for the team. Vice-president Mio reassured that the AECM would give their most extensive support to the USJSA. The two parties then exchanged thoughts about the academic challenges posed by the pandemic and future inter-university collaborations.

Among the delegation of the AECM were Ms. Ng Ka Kei and Ms. Tou Ka I, Students Affairs Coordinators; Mr. Ho Tin Hou, President of the Academic Standing Committee for undergraduates; Mr. U Ion Leong, Executive President of the Academic Standing Committee for undergraduates; Ms. Celina Delgado de Sousa and Ms. Li Iao In, Ministers of the AECM.
