Abstract:

The doctoral study investigates the transformative potential of Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT) in business management, focusing on their role in developing and implementing a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The research suggests that integrating these technologies offers significant advantages for maintenance management, potentially revolutionizing business operations and system performance. Fundamental business processes are examined in relation to the IoT paradigm, with the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain network providing a secure, decentralized platform for ensuring data integrity, enhancing transparency, and fostering trust. IoT integration facilitates safe, efficient data transactions, improving business data management and decision-making. The study also analyses the Fabric release V2.4 and smart contract functionalities, validating its robustness for CMMS development. Furthermore, the integration of IoT with CMMS enhances operational services and maintenance operations management within the maintenance ecosystem. Finally, the study underlines the need for further research into the long-term implications and potential challenges of implementing this technology in various business environments.
