The USJ basketball team was invited to join the 1st AUAP Inter-University Basketball Tournament from 18th to 24th January in Kaohsiung.

The team was warmly received by the representatives of the I-Shou University. They had a campus tour in the I-Shou University which included their great campus, hotel, and theme park owned by the university. The team had two competitions with two of the basketball teams of I-Shou University. It was a great experience for the team as the basketball team of I-Shou is one of the top teams in Taiwan. The matches do not only improve their basketball skills, but also the attitude of our players. It was a valuable lesson for the team.

After two days of games and practices, the team was invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the 31st AUAP-ISU International Conference. Around 500 participants were present, among were the principals and directors from 17 countries and regions. The theme of the conference was Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Their Roles in the Rapid Development of Higher Education in Asia and the Pacific.

On 22nd and 23rd January, the university arranged a day tour for our team in the E-Da Theme park and the city tour in Kaohsiung. They were also invited by the I-Shou University Alumni Association to have a dinner with them. The team had so much fun of playing bingo and the performance during the dinner. The team have made good friends with the ISU students and their staff in International Relations and Student Affairs.
