The USJ English Debate Society had sent three teams and one swing debater (Victory Igbinobaro, Zoe Saelim, Claire Jurado, Daê Enedino, Carmen Kuok, Anna Leng and Steve Lou) to represent USJ in participating the Macau Inter-Tertiary English Debate Competition on 25 October 2015.

In this two days event, two of our debate teams had break into the semi-finals. Through this event we are able to get to know other debaters from other institutions and to debate with them. We also gained a lot of experiences and knowledge through participating in this event. Judges that were invited in this competition are judges that had been debated for many years, and had been participating in the World’s competition. We are very glad to gain feedback and some advice on how to improve from these professional judges. It is also our honour to have Mukeh, our previous president of USJ English Debate Society, and Joyce, a very experienced senior member that had graduated, to join us in this event.
