Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP)

One of the founders of The Catholic Foundation for Higher Education, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) is the title holder of USJ.

USJ is an associate entity of UCP.

Founded in 1967, UCP is recognised in 1971 by the Portuguese State as a free, autonomous university institution of public utility. It was the first modern Portuguese university not to be founded by the State, but is instead the result of the Concordat between the Portuguese government and the Vatican, which established the university under the tutelage of the Catholic Church.



Kadenze is massive open online course (MOOC) provider that offers courses geared toward art, music, and creative technology, fields which are falling behind other fields such as computer science in terms of number of courses offered in the MOOC space.

USJ cooperates with Kadenze to deliver online courses in related to the creative industries to students around the world.


Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)

The Asia–Europe Foundation (ASEF) is an intergovernmental not-for-profit organisation located in Singapore. Founded in 1997, it is the only institution of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). Its purpose is to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the people of Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges.

USJ and ASEF are in partnership to organise the ‘Culture and Creative Hub Net’ Project to establish a new network of Cultural and Creative Hubs between Asia and Europe.


Artech International Association

The Association Artech-International has its roots on the Artech (Art and Technology Industries in the frontier Region Minho–Galicia) Initiative. This Initiative has been established in 2002 concentrating local activities around the topic digital art in order to promote a community of digital artists in the border region of Minho-Galiza while establishing an experimental common creative design space for artists.

USJ works together with Artech International to organize the annual ARTECH International Conference on Digital Arts, to promote interest in current digital culture and its intersection with art and technology.


Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM)

The Institute of European Studies of Macau is part of the Government strategy which aims at promoting the Internationalisation of Macau and the training of senior staff, having in view the liaison with Europe. IEEM’s major purpose is to function as a bridge between the European Union and the Asia-Pacific Region where Macau is located.

USJ is one of its partners to be the active elements participating in the Institute’s activities and contributing to the definition of its yearly program and the approval of its operational budget.


Skål International

Skål International is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry’s managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.


British Business Association of Macao (BBAM)

The British Business Association of Macao was launched on 20th July 2006 and established to promote and represent British business interests in the region. The association acts as a conduit between government and business in both Macao and the UK, whilst creating business, networking and learning opportunities.


DYMagic is a brand strategic planning company established in 2009 in Guangdong. The scope of activities includes brand planning, industrial design, packaging design, print advertising, web design, video production, media promotion and continuous development of production, teaching and research etc.

USJ has organised related promotions, researches and trainings for the 6th Xingshi-Cup with DYMagic.
