A group of students represented USJ to participate in the “Flag-Raising Ceremony for May Fourth Youth Festival”. It is a distinctive event in commemoration of the Youth Festival in Beijing on May 4, 1919, protesting against the Chinese government’s weak response to the Treaty of Versailles. The Festival itself demonstrated sparked national protests and marked the upsurge of Chinese nationalism.
