Learn about the incredible journey of Mamadú Fati from Guinea-Bissau, who not only earned a Bachelor’s degree but also went on to achieve a Master’s in Business Administration at USJ Macao!
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao recently concluded a series of engagements at international education forums in Portugal and Spain.
The CUHK delegation, led by Assistant Professor Christina Wong and accompanied by USJ/FRSP alumnus Rev. Dr. Jackson Tsui, comprised CUHK students from the “Macau’s Christian History” class.
To assist students in exploring their career direction and enhancing self-awareness and planning abilities, the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs held the Career Exploration Workshop on 21 November 2025. Sponsored by the Macao Foundation, the event attracted participants from master’s students across different faculties of the university.
Sponsored by the Macao Foundation, the University of Saint Joseph conducted a five-day USJ Yunnan Cultural Exchange Tour from 1 to 5 November. The group visited two higher education institutions in Yunnan and explored local landmarks, using the activities as an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the country’s development.
João Nuno Ferreira da Silva Leong Brochado has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Global Studies titled: “DECODING THE CINEMATIC: AN ANALYSIS OF CINEMATOGRAPHY ELEMENTS CONTRIBUTING TO A CINEMATIC LOOK OF A NARRATIVE DIGITAL FILM”.
With the aim to broaden students’ career perspectives, the OSAA of USJ arranged a visit to Sands China Ltd. for a group of 25 staff members and students on November 18. The activity was sponsored by Macao Foundation, which provided participants an in-depth understanding of the operational model and employment environment of integrated tourism enterprises, helping students to explore career opportunities.
This event marked the university’s third consecutive participation in the fair, deepening its efforts to fostering international education opportunities in the Southeast Asian region.
Hon Leng Ian has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Education titled: “WHY CHOOSE TO TEACH: PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS, BEGINNING TEACHERS, AND CAREER SWITCHERS IN MACAU”.
USJ donated MOP 10,000 this year to the Macau Special Olympics during the CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day 2025, with the aim to promote inclusiveness and provide support to people with special needs.
Kevin Leong Ka Hou, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in History titled: “GIVING A NEW LIFE TO INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE THROUGH CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRY: CASE STUDY OF TAIWAN”.
