Public Lecture: 2nd Forum of Counselling and Psychotherapy “Play Therapy with Children” by FSS on 9th December 2017
About the Talk
Mainly organised for the MCP community (MCP students, professors and alumni) but is also open to other people interested in themes related to counselling and psychotherapy, namely psychology undergraduate students. The main propose of this Forum is for the year 2 MCP students to pesent and share their research prohects with year 1 MCP students. This way, the former have an opportunity to practice comunication skills useful for their oral defense, and the latter get ideas for their own research and how to organise it. A public Lecture is also offered to the participants. This year, Cheryl Shanahan, an experienced Play Therapist in Hong Kong is invited to give a pulic lecture on “Play Therapy with Children”.
About the Speaker
Cheryl Shanahan is an Early Years Therapist and Educator that has more than 10 years experience working with children and their families in both clinical and educational settings. Cheryl is passionate about creating easy to digest concepts and practical strategies that parents can immediately put into place, positively impacting not just the child but the whole family.
